First leg of tour is complete and y’all are the greatest fans a band could ever ask for. To get to play these towns in these beautiful venues with a willingness to hear any and every tune across all our albums is as lucky as a group can get. Thank you.

Early in the tour I got some kind of virus which led to “severe” laryngitis according to my doctor. For a second it seemed like maybe we would have to pack it up and head home. But that option just felt too defeating. Too heartbreaking. So instead it was a constant rotation of the sprays, the teas, the lozenges, the medicines, and the humidifiers - all so we could get through the show without my condition being too distracting. Being on stage at these moments, I felt so much love and support that it was clear that laryngitis wasn’t gonna get in the way of connecting with all these people in the room. I wasn’t able to take a single night for granted. The circumstances didn’t allow for anyone to phone it in. It made all these nights really intense and really beautiful.

It was probably the hardest leg of tour I’ve ever been on, but I think that’s what made it so meaningful. That’s what made it so deeply appreciated.
