Los Angeles Wildfire Updates
In an incredibly dark time, Jimmy Kimmel Live asked us to come sing a song about the city we love. It’s not a joyous occasion for music, but hopefully a cathartic one amidst all this chaos.
The LA Times included Taylor’s thoughts on the fires wiping out two neighborhoods with unique significance in L.A.’s music industry.

Here are Griffin’s thoughts on the love and generosity he’s experienced in spite of such overewhelming loss.
Here’s Griffin & his wife, Kit, on CNN with Jake Tapper.
This Rolling Stone article is Taylor’s account of the first 72 hours after wildfire wiped out Altadena. He speaks about the overwhelming kindness of former bandmate Wylie, losing their studio and Griffin’s home. He also emphasizes how the Altadena community is sticking together and committing to rebuild.

MC Taylor Goldsmith Tour
Soulful isn’t often a word I would use to describe too many contemporary artists, but it’s the first word that comes to mind in regards to MC Taylor and Hiss Golden Messenger. He digs deep, he speaks truth and I’ve been an admirer for a long time. So now I’m very excited that we’re gonna team up for a collaborative run, playing each other’s tunes, backing each other up. Two guys, two guitars and two pretty extensive catalogues. It’s always fun to give these songs of ours new identities through different presentations like this, so I get the feeling this will be a run not to be missed. Hope to catch you out there. -TG
Special guest Jonny Fritz will be at the March 6-11 shows.

Hear Our New Album ‘Oh Brother’
It’s here. You’re here. We’re here. Our time stamp of the moods and emotions, revelations and disappointments, swirling in and around us for this most recent chunk of living. It’s a ninth record. It’s a first record. I couldn’t feel more proud and I couldn’t feel more exposed. It’s a very good feeling. Thank you all for helping us do this.
Oh Brother!
I hereby deem you music journalists. Please share your hottest takes and deepest thoughts about what you’re hearing. Now that it’s out in the world, I looking forward to this batch of songs finding new ways of bringing us even closer together. I love our little family so so much.

A Note From Taylor:
Happy to unleash House Parties into the world today. It’s been a long time coming, as many of you who have seen us play in the last few years can attest. I guess it’s a nostalgic song…A song about how true cultural experiences aren’t in the tourist traps but within human connections among specific communities. It’s a goofy lyric but the sentiment is not. We can all relate to feeling truly alive at a dive bar or a stranger’s home, getting access into a universe we didn’t even know existed…Whether across the planet or just one town over.
How are the first bites?
